Unable to Connect to the LCCStudent Wireless Network

Question:

How do I connect to the LCCStudent wireless network?

Answer:

LCCStudent wireless uses your username and password.

Although LCC does not support personal devices we can provide some troubleshooting tips.
  • Please ensure you are not running torrent or any peer to peer file sharing software.
  • Make sure there isn't a space in front of your username when you are trying to log in.
  • Non-LCC static IPs and static DNS servers in wireless settings should be removed if they exist.
  • Restart your device.
  • Visit your devices Wi-Fi settings, select LCCStudent, and then select Forget This Network.
  • LCC Student may say connected but you were never prompted to log in. Try surfing to google.com. You may end up with a screen similar to the one pictured below which states, "Your connection is not private", and it displays an "ADVANCED" button.
    • Select Advanced.Image states "Your connection is not private." Select the Advanced button.
    • Select the link which states "Proceed to... (unsafe)."Select the link which states "Proceed to... (unsafe)."
    • You should then see the LCC Student wifi log in if this was the issue.

There are a few additional account settings the LCC Help Desk can check. If you have questions please contact us at 517-483-5221 or email.
