How do I drop a class?

Please note:

  • Dropping a class may require you to pay money back to the College if you have received financial aid. Contact the Financial Aid office before dropping!
  • Check the Semester Registration website for important deadline details including when dropping courses will affect your GPA.

To drop classes do the following:

  1. Log in to myLCC.
  2. Click Banner at the top of the page.
    • A note on navigation: do not use your browser’s “back” button from this point forward; instead use links on the page such as “Return to previous menu” or others to navigate through the system.
  3. Click Student.
  4. Click Registration.
  5. Once you have completed steps 1 and 2 click "3. Register (Add/Drop Courses)."
  6. Click Register using Banner.
    • If requested agree to the Financial Responsibility agreement.
  7. Select your term and click Continue.
  8. Click the Schedule and Options tab. Register for Classes screen. Image of 3rd tab "Schedule and Options."
  9. Click in the Actions box next to the class you’d like to drop, and select the drop option.  If you do not see the drop option it means it is past the time frame in which you can drop online, please see Adjusting Class Schedule for more information.
  10. Click the Submit Changes button.
